So this was part 2 of my determination-driven day. After I left Cafe Retro so prematurely thanks to the awful music, I decided to take the long walk all the way to the meatpacking district in Vesterbro where of course, I found myself walking down the red light district. Considering I lived down Telegraph in Berkeley, you would think that I'd be ok with the shady neighbourhood but just because it was in Copenhagen I felt like it was extra sketchy! I suppose Telegraph also does not have a ton of dirty, crusty looking sex shops. I had not expected the cafe to be so far down the street but everytime I thought a full-body scan from a creepy-looking guy was one too many, I figured it was too far down to turn back anyhow.
I soon arrived at Bang & Jensen!
It was an eclectic little place, as so many of the cute cafes here are. I, of course, chose to sit next to the wall covered in pictures of old men. Or, it seems, pictures of the SAME old man. (I guess he has one variation--see: picture in bottom right corner. Or maybe that's not him. Ok I have talked about this for way longer than I needed to, this parenthesis is getting very long.)
View from Old Man Wall.
Coffee here was very affordable--as far as Copenhagen prices go. About 20 Kr for a regular coffee I think? The guy at the bar was really friendly too. I should try to check out more cafes in this district, I feel like it might be cheaper just because of the neighbourhood. =)
I soon moved to the inner room so that I could take more pictures without looking creepy. Hahaha.
